Last year we saw or heard 35 species on the annual Dawn Chorus walk – see photo when we all pretended to hear the first skylark near Nine Maidens stone circle (we did hear one for real just afterwards). This year the walk leaves Belstone Village Hall at the usual time of 5.30am on Saturday 28 April. Wear your walking boots for the rough bits and bring your binoculars, but please leave your four-legged friends at home. We should be back at the Hall for cereals, toast, bacon rolls, cheese scones and hot drinks by 8am. Suggested donations of £2.50 for the walk or £6 for the walk and breakfast will be gratefully received for Hall funds.
