DESCRIPTION:Mark Carey brings his wonderful one-man show, Into the Breach, to Belstone
Village Hall on Friday 6th March. Doors (and bar) open at 7.00pm for a
7.30pm performance. Tickets £12.00 (available here).
A play, written and performed by Mark Carey, who plays all seventeen
characters in this portrait of life in a sleepy Devon village during the
Second World War. Highly acclaimed, by the London Metro as being ‘Dad’s
Army’ meets The Vicar of Dibley’.
The play is approximately 90 minutes long and will have an interval in the
middle with ice creams on sale (and a chance for another glass from the
bar?)Set during the Second World War, this original, and inspiring show is
suitable for anyone 9 years old and above. George Crocker is keen to liven
up his dull life, so he decides to join the village Drama Club, believing
they are doing a pantomime. What happens then turns his world upside down!
