Read Easy is a national charity providing free, a one-to-one and confidential learning programme for adults who either cannot read or have reading difficulties.

It is their purpose to help individuals suffering in this way by providing free, one to one learning, in a confidential environment. Doing so will help those learners to improve their social status, their employment prospects and, above all, their mental health and self esteem.

Richard Clear, the local lead for Okehampton and West Devon, writes “If you know of anybody who seems to have difficulties in this area maybe a quiet word letting them know that free help is available might be the spur to help them improve their lives“.

He is also looking to find more local volunteers who might be able to give an hour or so a week to help in this work. If you would like to discuss the matter further please call Richard on 01837 54804 or 07854 301626
