June 1st Tales of the Taw told close to home

Since January 2023 Katy Lee has swum, walked and canoed the River Taw speaking to experts and gathering stories. ‘Going on Taw’ is an 18-month storytelling & poetry project that travelled the length of the River Taw from Source to Sea – culminating in an exhibition at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon.
This summer she will give live riverbank storytelling & poetry performances. Also there will be podcasts, short films and an exhibition in Barnstaple Museum as part of the wider project.
One of the riverbank performances will be close to the Footbridge below the Tors.

Saturday 1st June, Belstone @ 4pm. Meet outside The Tors Inn at 3.45pm, You will be met by a steward who will guide you to the performance site. Please be aware there is a steep footpath to negotiate. No wheelchair / limited mobility access. Please park in the public car park as you enter the village and bring something suitable to sit on.
