Belstone Village Hall 7.30pm Thursday September 22nd
For those of you new to the club, or thinking about joining, we meet on the fourth Thursday of each month, from September to April at 7.30pm in Belstone Village Hall. We are a very friendly group and always have a wide range of speakers on both aspects of gardening and the wider world around us.
This coming year (September 22nd) we start our season with Nicky Scott from Chagford. Nicky is passionate about composting. His talk is very much geared to the life and biology in compost, and he will try to demystify and simplify what is going on and show how it relates to soil and gardening techniques. He also explains how to make comfrey juice without the smell!
Interestingly he suggested the talk could be entitled ‘Composting is the last thing you should do’ and then in brackets he wrote (it doesn’t mean you don’t do it). Please come and find out just exactly what he means. I am sure that it will be a very interesting evening.
The club welcomes new members, guests and visitors so why not come along? At £15 membership for the year or £3 per meeting, it is very good value for money.
