The next Garden Club meeting is Thursday 23rd January 7.30pm in Belstone Village Hall.
Colin Sargent from Brentor will be giving a talk ‘Wildlife Photography – How Do They Do That? Tips and Tricks’.
Colin writes: “I am a local Wildlife and Landscape photographer who lives locally at Brentor. Photography is a hobby that I’ve spent many hours doing in my spare time over the years, while working full time at the Ambrosia factory at Lifton. I have just retired after 44 years there, so will now spend more time doing this amazing pastime. The talk and digital slide show will show pictures of Badgers, Foxes, Kingfishers, and various other wildlife, and I will explain the many hours of patience and technique used to achieve the shots. I have my work shown regularly in the local Western Morning News Newspaper, have had work published in magazines and even appeared on TV. There will be cards and prints available for purchase after the talk.“
Doors open at 7pm with tea and coffee available and an opportunity to chat with fellow members of the group. Membership is £15 annual subscription or come as a guest for one night at £4 and find out more about the club.
Next month, 27th February, Saul Walker Head gardener at Stonelands House will be giving a talk ‘Woodland Gardening: The Art of Growing in Shade’.
