The next Garden Club meeting is Thursday 24th October 7.30pm in Belstone Village Hall.

Mandy Barber from ‘Incredible Vegetables’ based near Ashburton will be giving a talk entitled ‘Creating a Diverse and Resilient Garden with Perennial Vegetables’. Mandy, along with her partner Julien Skinner, run an experimental vegetable growing project and research space. They are experimenting with mixed plantings of perennial crops and woody shrubs. Many of the plants they grow would fit within a mixed planting regime in any garden and remember they are doing this on the edge of Dartmoor!

Mandy will be bringing some plants for sale. More information can be found on their website: https://incrediblevegetables.co.uk

Doors open at 7pm with tea and coffee available and an opportunity to chat with fellow members of the group. Membership is £15 annual subscription or come as a guest for one night at £4 and find out more about the club.

Next month, 28th November, Robin Hill from Andrews Corner will be giving a talk ‘Weird and Wonderful in a Dartmoor Garden’. This is our Christmas meeting and will include tea/coffee, mince pies and a Christmas Raffle with a horticultural theme.
