HUGE thanks to everyone who braved the rain at Andrews Corner on Sunday 15th February to support the Children’s Hospice South West, eat bacon baps, cake, drink soup, tea, coffee and, best of all, view the wonderful array of snowdrops, which were also available to buy.

A very happy atmosphere, both in the garden and inside the conservatory, with people meeting old friends, making new ones and swapping gardening tips – especially on the best snowdrops to buy! All in all, a very successful day which made £1113.80 for CHSW.

We were also delighted that CEO Phil Morris and his wife were able to be with us, along with our Area Fundraiser Henrietta Olssen and Senior fundraising Manager Emma Perry.

The Friends Group (Angela Hammond, Sandra Moppett, Susan Norrish & Edwina Hill) started in 2008 and, along with our other fundraising events, we have we have been holding Snowdrop Sundays for 19 years. However we did not hold any in 2020 (cancelled because of the weather and 2021 because Covid was still a problem, but we did sell snowdrops during those years, which means that we have raised £16,167.00 in the 19 years, in Snowdrop Sundays alone. So, many thanks to everyone who has supported and helped us to raise this amount at any stage during that time.
