The draft minutes of the Belstone Parish Council Meeting on October 18th 2022 are now available on the website:
The meeting included a public participation session with the Neighbourhood Highways Officer, Josh Scillitoe. Members of the public expressed concerns about speeding between Tongue End and the Cattle Grid. Josh explained that if Belstone wants to get any sort of speed limit introduced, we must all report any incidents to the police on 101, either by telephone or online, with as much information as possible. This also applies to vehicles driving on bridlepaths, such as Muddy Lane, Carriage Drive and Mine Lane (from Tongue End to Sticklepath). Any action by authorities will depend on evidence in the form of police records. So, please report what you see.
Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting.
