I went yesterday to meet Mark Nugent and view his new garage building at Rew Meadow, Belstone.

The building is sited 4.4m from his boundary edge. As the building has a dual pitch roof and is of a single storey it is permitted to be 4m in height to be classed as permitted development (so not need planning permission). The building is under 4m in height when measured from the highest part of the (natural) ground adjacent to it. Accordingly, it does not breach planning control.
