Greener Belstone is an apolitical village initiative focused on promoting sustainability and tackling climate change, alongside protecting and increasing our local biodiversity.
Greener Belstone will do this by:
- Providing a hub of useful sustainability information and ideas
- Organising community initiatives and events for Belstone
- Working with other local groups on green issues

PEOPLE’S EMERGENCY BRIEFING
Greener Belstone hosted a showing of the People’s Emergency Briefing film on 30th October 2026, and around 100 people came. The film, presented by Chris Packham, hopes to raise awarenes of the climate and nature crisis. The group behind the film https://www.nebriefing.org/ are seeking to get the government to give a live emergency briefing on the climate and nature crisis, introduced by the PM and delivered by independent experts, as an essential step to unlock the wartime-scale response now required.

Greener Belstone will be collating the responses from the discussion groups on 30th October to list the ideas for personal and community actions that were suggested. We will be sending another email in the next few weeks with ideas of what we could do, and details of a meeting in Belstone for those who are interested.
