Back in September a group of dancers from Bideford, Exeter and Bristol came to Belstone to record a dance on Dartmoor. They came here because two of the dancers live here!

It was part of an International Rally organised for West Coast Swing dancers. West Coast Swing is a partner dance which developed from Lindy Hop dancing on the West Coast of the USA, in the 1960s. It is now danced to all types of music all over the world. It is smooth and musical, with a wonderful feeling of stretch and flow. For the annual International Rally, a choreographed routine is danced on the first weekend in September in lots of countries around the world.

For the last four years a group has danced the routine in Exeter, and decided it was time for a change of scenery. They came to dance around Belstone, and with some expert editing by a dancer from London have produced this evocative video.
