Returning after its 2-year break and starting an hour earlier than traditionally, Belstone Village Fair has all the old favourite attractions and more, making a great family afternoon out.
Among the activities are the much-loved Dog Races, Children’s Races, the Egg Throwing Competition, Tug ‘o War, stalls, sideshows, teas, burgers, hot dogs, Pimms Tent and live music from the Bondleigh Barn Band.
As usual, Okehampton Running Club’s Cosdon Hill Run is taking place on the same day and starts from the site of the Fair, which is also the finishing point. Start time – 1.30pm for Juniors; 2.30pm for seniors. Register at the Race Headquarters – on the Village Green by The Tors Inn. Watch the brave runners as they attempt the dizzy heights of Cosdon, browse the stalls, have a turn on the sideshows and listen to the music. Whether you are a spectator or participant, there’s plenty of fun for all, so park on Belstone Cricket Ground and join us on Belstone’s Great Green (next to the Tors Inn) at 1pm on Sunday 10th July – with all the family and the dog!
