Watch, below, a new 10 minute film of the events surrounding the commemorative beacon bonfire on top of Watchet Hill above Belstone at dusk on 6th June 2024 – the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings on the beaches of Normandy – taken and edited by Chris Walpole, it has just been released on YouTube. The film includes the lighting of the fire, raising of the flag, two minutes silence, singing of I Vow To Thee My Country and interviews with Michael Ash and Michael Reddaway.
