Belstone supports this local community theatre group who sometimes perform in our Village Hall.

YOUNG PEOPLE
– “A Play in 3 days!” Young people aged 8-16 are invited to our new summer school: join Abby and Jonny from MED Theatre at Moreton Parish Hall to create our own play, inspired by Dartmoor and some famous musicals too! The 3 day intensive will end with a performance to family & friends. Spaces limited so book soon on the email or phone number below. 
DATES: Monday 4th Aug 10am-2pm, Tuesday 5th Aug 10am-2pm, Wednesday 6th Aug 10am-5pm with performance at 5pm.
COST: On a sliding pay-what-you-can scale of £75/£85/£95

ADULTS
– A session for Mothers AND Others with guest speaker from the US! – open to all be it a mother or not (to be, grand, adoptive, bereaved, step, animal mothers, and friends.) Join Samantha Matalone Cook for a presentation on women, and specifically mothers, in the Maker movement and a discussion on the continuity and change of Making, and how it can support our personal and communal goals, and take part in our practical workshop on creating your own painted illuminated letters. 
DATE: Fri 4th July in MED Theatre’s new studio above Hippo cafe in Moreton. 10am-12pm
COST: suggested donation between £5-10

– Improvisation Taster session with new facilitator Lucy Smart. All adults welcome, no drama experience necessary, in fact it can be helpful to have none! Come along to explore the freeing and playful experience of “not trying” and just seeing what happens, all supported by games run by experienced professionals. A great way to meet other adults and try a new skill. This impro session is a taster for a course running in September. 
DATE: Mon 21st July in MED Theatre’s new studio above Hippo cafe in Moreton. 6.30-8.30pm
COST: suggested donation between £5-10, but not essential.
