Belstone Village Hall – Thursday 28th September 2023
Welcome back to a new season of our local garden club. Regular monthly meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month, from September to April, 7.30pm in Belstone Village Hall.
Our first meeting will be 28th September when Peter Cantrill an expert nurseryman who runs the wholesale nursery Dayspring Plants near Exeter will be joining us. He will be bringing a range of unusual herbaceous plants, which he will be talking about and selling.
In October our Chairman Keith Badman will give a talk entitled ‘East of Eden – Public Gardens in Australia and Singapore’. Singapore and Australia have gardens with a wide range of plants and a climate that presents interesting horticultural problems.
Our November speaker is the well-known Devon based naturalist, ecologist, wildlife gardener and author John Walters who will be giving us a fascinating insight into ‘Wild Meadows’.
Other meetings cover Gardening in a Changing Climate, the Isles of Scilly, Designing Show Gardens and Adventures with Fancy Foliage.
The club welcomes new members, guests and visitors so why not come along? At £15 membership for the year, it is very good value for money. Visitors £4 for a meeting.
