APM – Skaigh Wood Trust – Chairman’s report 2024-25
SKAIGH WOOD TRUST – Registered Charity No 201284
Mr Luxton’s son Stuart has decided that he will not take on the lease of the Warren at the end of the present term 25/9/25. He has already carried out the fence repairs which were necessary. Two people have expressed an interest in taking on the Warren with the Trust exploring several options
STOC have done much work on the pond and its water supply, they have cleared some smaller trees which blew down in the winter storms. The wood suffered quite badly during the storms and several large trees had to be made safe by Adam Whittington at a cost of ÂŁ500 + VAT
There will be an anniversary walk around the Woods on the 1st June. More details of this nearer the time.
The bridge inspection will take place shortly, but I do not foresee any problems.
There was a balance at 4/3 in the current account of ÂŁ451.67 and savings account of ÂŁ13,110.67. Problems with in-line banking have now been resolved.
I would like to express my thanks to my fellow Trustees, STOC for the work they carry out for the Trust, Chris Walpole as auditor and Sally Fullwood and Jon Pike our two Secretaries over the year.
