APM – Village Hall report 2025

Last May the Village Hall Committee welcomed 4 new members Deborah Hosegood, Hugh
Langworthy, Arancha Louro Lopez, and Tina Partridge. They have thrown themselves into
Hall events with great vim and energy. Indeed Arancha and Tina are the organisers of the
upcoming Spanish evening on 17th May.

The principal building work was the replacement of the soffits and fascias on the back and sides
of the Hall. We are grateful for a grant from WDBC towards this work.

This is my last report as Chair and I would like to pay tribute to the hard work of everyone on the
committee. It is invidious to pick out individuals but I must mention Sally Fullwood our ultra
efficient meticulous secretary. And Sharon Cooper our Treasurer,who in addition to her
official role is at the centre of every single event in the village.

Finally I wish to record my thanks to Edwina Hill the Hall Manager and Eva who does the
cleaning. Eddie’s dedication is truly legendary. It’s exhausting just watching the number of
trips each day that Eddie makes to ensure the hall is ready for the next activity.

So it’s goodbye from me and welcome back to Robin who will take you through the next 12 months
