Minutes for the meeting of Belstone Parish Council held on 26th April 2022 in the Meeting Room, Belstone Village Hall at 7.30 pm
Councillors Present:
Michael Ash (Chairman), Paul Boyce, Peter Cooper, Susan Norrish, Jon Pike, Theresa Weaver.
Also Present: Sally Fullwood (Clerk), Edward Currie, Peter Grubb, Simon Hill
2022/23-24 Disclosures of Interests
There were none.
2022/23-25 Apologies for Absence
There were none.
2022/23-26 Discussion and questions to candidates
The Chairman asked whether the councillors wished to interview the candidates separately or together. It was agreed that the councillors would not interview separately. Candidates were asked what they felt the council should be doing that it wasn’t. Communication, involvement, moving with the times and different inputs were mentioned.
2022/23-27 Councillor Discussion
It was noted that the Council were very lucky to have three extremely good candidates.
2022/23-28 Vote
Edward Currie 1, Peter Grubb 1, Simon Hill 3, Abstention 1.
2022/23-29 Chairman will announce successful candidate
Simon Hill has been co-opted to serve as a member of Belstone Parish Council.
2022/23-30 Acceptance of Office
Simon Hill signed the Acceptance of Office of Member of Belstone Parish Council.
The meeting closed at 7.45 pm.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday May 10th 2022 at Belstone Village Hall at 7.30 pm, this will be the Annual Parish Meeting and Annual Parish Council Meeting.
