Parish Council WDBC Report July 2025

Encourage residents to have their say

Last week we launched the first phase of our engagement on Local Government Reorganisation. We have now published a video from our Leader, Cllr Mandy Ewings, encouraging our communities to have their say.  Messages for residents: We need your help to shape the future of local government in Devon by letting us know what matters to you. Everyone with a connection to West Devon is being asked what matters to them to help shape our final proposals so they reflect the needs and aspirations of people living and working in the area. Take part in the short survey here www.westdevon.gov.uk/local-government-reorganisation Over the next few months, a series of engagement events around West Devon will also be taking place. Details on how you can get involved will be available soon. We are promoting the survey and our Leader’s video via social media so please do re-share to any of your local community groups and other networks.

Record number using the NHS app

The Health and Wellbeing of our residents is one of our priorities, so we’d like to help share information about the NHS App.

Record numbers of patients in Devon are now accessing healthcare services through the app. In January, the number of repeat prescriptions ordered through it went above 100,000 for the first time, with May achieving a record 107,200 orders.

The NHS App hosts a range of features that enable patients to access key services from the comfort of their homes.

Please signpost your residents to it.
