The exhibition of old photos from the Dartmoor Trust, Belstone Community Archive and Okehampton Museum, currently on show at the Methodist Chapel in the centre of Belstone, is proving popular. Around 50 images, mostly with the theme ‘people doing things in the past’ and covering the last 130 years, are included from the Belstone Archive. A similar number of images from the Dartmoor Trust’s extensive archive are also displayed, many with the theme ‘then and now’. The exhibition is open between 2pm and 5pm every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday until the end of October. If anyone has any old photos or documents that they would like to share please bring them along on Saturday 12 August when Belstone Archive custodian Chris Walpole will be on hand with a scanner to copy them on the spot.
